Fall 2013 Rowing Programs for New or Experienced Rowers
If you are a new or experienced rower interested in a Fall program, there are a number of options. Information on area rowing camps is provided here as a courtesy, and does not imply endorsement by JMCBO. Please contact the program directly for more information.
Madison Crew -- 2-week Learn-to-Row Camp, Fall 2013
If you do not have rowing experience and are interested in rowing for Madison in the Spring, MAD CREW offers a 2-week learn-to-row program for prospective rowers in grades 9-12. Camp runs from September 30, 2013 through October 12, 2013. Practices are held at Sandy Run Rowing Facility on the Occoquan River (our home course) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (3:00-4:30pm), and Saturday (12:30-2:30pm). Sandy Run Rowing Facility is located at 10450 Van Thompson Road, Fairfax Station, VA 22039. The cost is $100 per rower for 18+ hours of instruction
You must have the following forms completed and turned in in order to participate
: 1) Completed FCPS Physical Form, 2) Signed JMCBO Liability Waiver, & 3) Successful Swim Test. These forms are available on the Enrollment page at warhawkcrew.org.
